Major Fee Hike to Affect Immigration Applications Postmarked After October 1, 2020.

Due to the hefty increase in U.S. immigration fees that goes into effect at the end of this week, foreign nationals are assiduously working with their lawyers on completing and submitting their applications to USCIS before the end of the week. The fee to apply for U.S. Citizenship will increase from $725 to $1,170, a 61% increase, while the fee to apply for U.S. Permanent Residence (Adjustment of Status) will increase from $1,760 to $ 2,750.
