About the Murray Law Firm
Dean P. Murray, Esq. is the founding member of The Murray Law Firm. The majority of his practice focuses on Business & Franchise litigation; Family law, (such as divorces and child custody disputes); and U.S. Immigration law. Mr. Murray is also experienced in handling personal injury cases.
Mr. Murray is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New Jersey and the State of New York, as well as the U.S. District Court (District of New Jersey) , the U.S. District Court (Southern District of New York), the U.S. District Court (Eastern District of New York). He has experience before the trial and appeals Courts at both the state and federal levels. He was named by SuperLawyers Magazine to its Rising Stars list for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. (No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected for the Rising Stars list). In addition, Mr. Murray was awarded a rating of "Top Contributor" by the popular, national, legal question & answer website, Avvo.com.
Mr. Murray's experience in business/commercial litigation is considerable and impressive. He has spent years representing companies in a wide variety of matters: franchise disputes, unfair lending practices, product defect, lemon law, copyright and intellectual property, to name a few. He has also represented many clients in matrimonial matters, litigating the complex issues that arise in fighting for custody of children, distributing marital assets, and determining alimony.
Mr. Murray is an active member of The American Immigration Lawyer's Association. He is well versed in the immigration process, from non-immigrant visas to Employment-Based and Family-Based petitions for Permanent Residence, to Naturalization/Citizenship. Mr. Murray is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association, and the Hudson County Bar Association.
Mr. Murray graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law. During law school, Mr. Murray was an intern to The Honorable Donald S. Goldman, J.S.C. (Ret.), and an extern at the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 2, New Jersey Superfund Division.
