Despite the repeated claims that the current administration favors legal immigration, they are attempting to roll out a policy that has the potential to deny Lawful Permanent Residence to as many as two thirds of foreign nationals who are applying. At least three individuals in the Administration have stated that requiring foreign nationals to obtain health insurance as a prerequisite to receiving U.S. Permanent Residence may not just be unworkable, but even illegal.
